Aiming and Merging

Color Merge Puzzle asks you to clear a growing cluster of colored balls by shooting new ones into it. The twist is that hitting a ball of the same color doesn't just pop it—the two merge into a single higher-level ball. That merged ball occupies less space than the originals, so each successful match opens up room and buys you more shots. The challenge comes from planning ahead: you're not just aiming at the first same-colored target you see, but at the spot that will let you chain merges later.

Controls and Shot Planning

Tap or click to set your shooting direction, then release to launch. There's no complex input to learn, but the decision of where to aim carries weight. A shot that merges two mid-level balls might clear a path to a larger cluster, while a careless shot could bury a useful color behind a wall of mismatched ones. Because every merge can grant additional shooting chances, stringing together several merges in one turn is the main way to extend a session.

Managing the Ball Pile

The game ends when the pile of balls reaches too high. That means your real opponent is the accumulation of unmerged colors near the bottom. Clearing low balls early prevents the stack from becoming unmanageable, but doing so often means ignoring tempting high-value merges higher up. This tension between immediate clearing and long-term combo setup is what gives the simple mechanic its staying power.

Progression and Difficulty

As you create higher-level balls, the board changes shape and new colors enter the mix, making each merge slightly harder to set up. The difficulty curve is gradual, so early rounds feel forgiving while later ones demand more precise aim and foresight. There's no timer mentioned, so the pressure comes from spatial management rather than speed.
